The solution of the "php3_open_basedir" in a directory tag in httpd.conf was great. I do
not understand quite well why this is not possible any more in php4 (open_basedir is not a
configuration option that Apache will recognize ...). Why change something that could eventually
help in security issues ? And even when some contributors here have pointed out its importance. Now,
we cannot set this option different for each directory, it has to be set in php.ini and the same for
each user or virtual user :-(
