I tried using rtrim to remove semi-colon's from each end of a string and couldn't get it
to work:
rtrim($mystr, ";");
I then tried using trim, which also didn't work.
Instead, I used:
$mystr = substr("$mystr", 0, -1);
to remove a single character from the end of the string.
