I had a horrible time getting PHP 4.2.3 and Apache 2.0.43 to work with PHP as a server module on
win2k. I finally got it to work using the manual installation files as directed in the manual, but
use the snap build of PHP to provide both the php4ts.dll and php4apache2.dll.
Put php4ts.dll into c:\winnt\system32
and php4apache2.dll into the sapi folder (one of the folders that is created in the php folder)
and php.ini into c:\winnt
add to the httpd.conf file:
LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
edit the directory information for both the document root and the folder location for php extensions
in the php.ini file.
I spent hours trying to get this to work, but the two new files were the key. Good luck.
