note 30387 added to zend.creating

I have to use some DLL, written in VB. Is there a way to use it like extension? May be it's possible to compile it especislly? Or the extensions mast be written only in C ? I tried to use it like COM, but not successfull. It works with ASP, but I hate it. What I have to do?
