A side note about the default Apache 2.0.44 configuration and PHP.
Apache's default httpd.conf file has the ScriptAlias setting, which you may need for cgi or
perl scripts, but with PHP, it isn't necessary, and at least for me, caused my scripts to not
run.
If you get the error saying:
"[your script] is not executable; ensure interpreted scripts have "#!" first
line"
try commenting out the ScriptAlias directive, as well as the <directory> part for that folder.
It worked for me.
