(This may be Windows and ZEND specific. Probably is). I recently ZEND'd up something I'd
been tinkering with and immediately my sessions broke. I've been using the $_SESSION approach,
and while I could see the array was populated properly, it was never getting written to disk.
I tried everything, before I thought about oatmealrox's comment about calling session_start()
in a function. I wasn't doing THAT, but I was loading all of my session variables in a
function: check_login().
I added a 'global $_SESSION;' at the top of the function and got ready for the errors, but
it worked. I ZEND'd it up, and it's still working. Hope this helps someone else.
