I want to give a notice for this issue more. I had thought that the following notation of the source code causes a parse error and script would stop immediately. <?//error_reporting(E_ALL&~(E_COMPILE_ERROR|E_COMPILE_WARNING))?> <?error_reporting(E_ALL&~E_ALL)?> <?php if("aaa")\{$foo="bar"; // ... could cause a pase error? ?> <html> <body> <?=$foo?> </body> </html> <?}else{?> <html><body>none.</body></html> <?}?> But, this script has run until the end, although it showed warning message. Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /WWW/foo.php on line 4 bar (... This!) I don't know whether this behavior is intended to on Zend(?) and PHP4's specification or not. But "error_reporting()" can't suppress the warning whenever it is E_ALL&~E_ALL. I couldn't determine this issue might be a bug report. If this is intended to, the manual is true when the warning would be suppressed. This script has run under PHP4.3.0 (apache-sapi). And the environment for the multibyte string (php.ini) was not defined explicitly. -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/migration4.strings.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+31414 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+31414 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+31414
