Has anyone been able to crack the problem of connecting across multiple servers while being able to
query i.e.....
$sql = "SELECT feynman.test.btn ";
$sql .= "FROM feynman.test, hephaistos.test ";
$sql .= "WHERE feynman.test.btn = hephaistos.test.btn ";
mysql_pconnect allows you only to connect to one server at a time, but you can establish 2
connections i.e.....
$con1 = mysql_pconnect("hephaistos", "user", "pw");
$con2 = mysql_pconnect("feynman", "user", "pw");
But it does not appear that you can nest or cascade, or otherwise use the two connections within the
mysql_query function. Just short of connecting to each table, grabbing data, writing new local
tables, and then doing the query has anyone come up with a solution to do these queries
"live"?
