I have a situation as follows:
$variable = ereg_replace("TEXT", addLink($oneVariable), $otherVariable);
In this example, I have a function being called to replace my text.
Is the function called each (1) once, and the same data used every time PHP finds a match, (2) every
time a match is found, or (3) never if no match is found?
