I found this to be confusing.. but I found this example over at phpbuilder.net
The correct format for the three entries follow:
dn: "uid=roger,ou=People,ou=Civil,o=Engineering,dc=mydomain,dc=net",
newrdn: "uid=roger"
newparent: "ou=People,ou=Credit,o=Finance,dc=mydomain,dc=net"
I found the same thing.. the new rdn should only be the left-most part of the dn... everything else
is specified in the parent.
