----
commenting code out is great for debugging. for example if you have lots of code, rather than
"deleting code" or copy and pasting to a "note pad" only to put it back.
commenting comes in handy.
example:
<?php
/*echo "hello world";
echo "<br>";*/
echo "hello people";
?>
Results to Out puts:
hello people
while using // only comments out the line that you put it on
Example:
<?php
//echo "hello world";
echo "<br>";
echo "hello people";
?>
Results to Out puts:
hello people
So basicly you can use /* */ or // to comment out more then just comment pertaining to scripts,
it is a great tool for unactivating code when testing and debugging.
Hope this helps some people in a great way.
