Don't know how to modify these notes, but my previous example ought to have a simple change.
On the rounding line, you should ADD 100. Just in case you're on a boundary value, and the
rounding goes the wrong way and everything goes negative on you:
$reftime = (round(time() / 100) * 100) + 100;
