Which versions of PHP support the "parent::"? Most of the other OOP related stuff includes
info about required PHP version but for some reason this one doesn't. Is the minimum required
version 4.0.x or something older?
Also, is it true that PHP doesn't have any built-in feature to call parent's constructor
without repeating the parent's class name. I mean, if I have class B extends class A and then
the code says 'parent::A();' is it really any better than 'A::A()'? Does some
version of PHP support calling the constructor with 'parent()'?
