I had wondered how to add a request for "Read recipt" and I believe it is a simple case of
adding Disposition-Notification-To:
EXAMPLE:
$headers .= "X-Mailer: PHP\n"; // mailer
$headers .= "X-Priority: 1\n"; // Urgent message!
$headers .= "Return-Path: <birthday@php.net>\n"; // Return path for errors
$headers .= "Disposition-Notification-To: 'Birthday Boy-Girl'
<birthday@php.net>"; // Request "Read Recipt"
I'm not sure if this works with all mailers but I'm using sendmail at the server end and
Outlook for a client.
Any comments?
