If you're simply looking for a return value, use exec(). It's broken anyways
(doesn't really fork to new process, replacing old process like you'd expect), so you
might as well use it until system() is fixed.
BTW, the mysystem code above doesn't work with all system commands. For instance, try getting
it to work with "id".
