Ummm! Saw this and can't help commenting.
Do an ora_rollback at end of script and use ora_commit explicitly at all times under program control
*when you want to commit changes*!
Doing ora_commit at script end is as bad as setting 'auto_commit on' (or equiv.) meaning
if you make one misstake you have to backtrack, either using code or by hand using SQL interface,
and undo what you've just done and that can be messy!
