Hey touch don´t work :

$file = "test.dat";
if (!file_exist("$file"))
{
touch = ("$file");
}
?>
It´s says that :
Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file test.dat because Permission denied in
test.php on line 5
Can you help me please?
