As a complete newbie, I found this preconfigured setup for apache, php, MySql, etc. to be simply wonerful: http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/23555.html One note, after running the installer and before running apache2triadsetup.bat, edit "C:\apache2\apache2triadsetup.bat" so that your user id is used instead of "admini~1" (WinXP). i.e. "move /y visual~1.lnk c:\docume~1\joker619\startm~1\apache~1\" instead of "move /y visual~1.lnk c:\docume~1\admini`1\startm~1\apache~1\".
