to convert the standard date output from sql server, just use the strtotime function:
where $sqlserver_qry_result is something like "Jan 23 2003 12:00 Am"
$timestamp = strtotime($sqlserver_qry_result);
then do whatever you like with it and convert it back with date("m/d/y", $timestamp)
