why is there no startpos in this function *sigh*
you could emulate by using substr...
just get the 1st c...
we say that we look for soneting before the 2nd a
$str="abcdefabcdef"
$max=strpos($str,"a",2);
pos=strrpos(substr($str,0,$max),"c");
