The DEFINED() function takes a string argument. Generally, you want to enclose the constant's
name in double quotes, that is:
if (DEFINED("MY_CONSTANT"))
If you forget to do this, e.g.
if (DEFINED(MY_CONSTANT))
you will probably not get the results you want.
