Get_defiend_var() only can access variables in it scope. (I think which is good.) Therefore,
following code does not work as you might be expected.
function print_defined_vars() {
print("\n<pre>\n");
print_r(get_defined_vars());
print("</pre>");
}
print_defined_vars(); // prints "array()"
