tomasz at trejderowski dot com's example assumes all lower-case emails.
it can be further expanded to allow capitol letters:
[_\.0-9a-zA-Z-]+@([0-9a-zA-Z][0-9a-zA-Z-]+\.)+[a-zA-Z]{2,6}$
