It is sort of tricky to pass a filename as a command-line parameter, but it will work if you follow
two simple rules.
1. Escape backslashes of the the filename but not the executable, as in
$output =
C:\executable C:\\directory\\filename;
2. You may enclose either the executable or the filename in quotes, but not both.
OK: $output = C:\executable "C:\\directory\\filename";
NOT OK: $output = "C:\executable" "C:\\directory\\filename";
