Closer to the Holy Grail...
Same function as before (see above a couple spots), but now using forward and back references. Will
spot and trim URLs which end in more than one non-word chracter.
So: www.someurl.com!!?!?!
Becomes:
<a href="http://www.someurl.com">www.someurl.com</a>!!?!?!
