note 8810 added to file

I'm doing this segment of code... $fcontents = join ('', file ('http://www.yahoo.com')); if (($fcontents == "") || ($fcontents)) { //blah blah } But every once in a while I get the following message... Warning: file("http://www.yahoo.com") - Operation timed out So how do I customize the error message?
