Well, I tried everything mentioned on this page and elsewhere in the manual (force_redirect=0,
setting up the Xitami-Server as described here, etc.) but nothing seemed to work. Until I found a
note from goran_johansson on the "Installed as CGI binary" page:
"I just found out that PHP first seem to look in the php-directory for php.ini, and if that
file does not exist, it looks in the Windows directory."
It works now, since I have a copy in the php-directory. I even deleted the php.ini in the windows
directory and it still works (well, it did not work the other way 'round).
