I think your note is missing out on an important point though!
The main difference between what you did and what the little bit of tutorial code did, is that
your's is just concetenating a bunch of text output, whereas the tut_code is actually doing
some decision_based output!
And that is (as a COMPLETE php newbie) very striking to me.
I'll try to put my astonishment into words:
You can open PHP_mode, do an "if()" check, completely LEAVE PHP_mode again (which
"could" mean, that you're also leaving the logic of the if() part!!) do some output
based on the decision you got from the if() statement.
Thats pretty awesome actually!
Because on first glance i actually would have expected ALL the HTML_text to be printed on screen.
But its not...very cool!
I think i'll be liking this a lot!! =)
