If you try to write ttftext on a 256 color gif or png8 the text color and background color cannot be
allocated, since all the colors are already in use. The result will most certainly look awful.
The solution is: Save your images (from Photoshop or Gimp), on witch you plan to write text, with
256 minus the number of allocated colors and you are rolling.
