Just a tip:
If you are building php as a shared module, but the installation is not putting the php4.so module
in the apachedir/modules/ directory, check that your with-apxs (or with-apxs2) option is written
correctly (for example: --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs or
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs). Sometimes the configuration script will not complain
even if you make a typo or specify the wrong directory.
