From rookie for rookie. Couldn't find anything on this subject here but I hope this is the
right place (variables from outside php).
How to POST variables without a form? Not! On my form I have buttons for other actions than
submitting the data and which do onClick a
location.replace(some.php?action=delete&record=12&whatever=something). For obvious reasons I
don't like that address. For lay-out reasons I don't want a form for each action.
Solution: put outside the form (nesting forms is bad) an invisible form for each action with only
hidden inputs. Each button submits the appropriate form by onClick="doc.formX.submit()".
Best of both worlds. No fuzzy address and only one form (and one set of buttons) on screen. KISS, as
you know.
