This is not really a PHP issue, but I spent hours figuring it out. While setting up the ODBC,
I've cut/past a small test php script from a page. For some reason, the
"odbc_connect" function wasn't recognized (I bet an "invisible"
character" or a bug in my editor (Kate)). Retyping everything from scratch was the solution.
If I take some time to tell this here it's because everywhere on the internet, the error
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: odbc_connect()" is told to be a symptom of a
wrong ODBC/PHP installation. So I spent hours understanding why my configuration was bad,
recompiling everything here and there... mislead by this "false" (in my case :))
statement.
So, not a PHP issue but a issue hard to find with Google :)
