Here is a way you could use echo:
define ('CR', "\n");
echo
CR, 'The code here',
CR, 'looks more readable',
CR, 'then just having everything',
CR, 'in one line',
CR, 'It seems also to be faster',
CR, 'than concatenation',
CR, 'You only need to pay attention',
CR, 'to the last ; and , do not mix them.'

This also elliminates the overhead of another function.
