Result of mysql_insert_id() or LAST_INSERT_ID() is logical, although names of these two can be a
little confusing.
These functions return last generated auto-increment value, but not genertated and inserted one.
Engine must generate a value first, then it checks for any data contradictions when a record is
being added. If so, adding if this record fails and the value is useless.
According to this, the "INSERT" part means SQL's INSERT statement, not operation
itself.
