note 36208 added to install.linux

i already installed apache,mysql and php to my pc. i also edited httpd.conf and add the line : "AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .phtml" but when i try to open .php file (eg. http://localhost/index.php), the browser ask me to download or save the file. What's wrong....anybody can help me?
