I'm from Taiwan, here I found a problem with xmldoc(). If an XML file starts with the following
declaration:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="big5"?>
(big5 is the encoding method for Traditional Chinese) then xmldoc() is unable to parse the file (it
simply returns false). If I use this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
then xmldoc() can parse the file but all Chinese characters in the XML file become unreadable. If I
use this :
<?xml version="1.0"?>
then everything works fine.
