You can write a small wrapper function, for example:
function parse_url2($url) {
$parts_default = array(
"scheme" => "",
"host" => "",
"port" => "",
"user" => "",
"pass" => "",
"path" => "",
"query" => "",
"fragment" => ""
);
return array_merge($parts_default, parse_url($url));
}
now all array elements are set and you'll not get any warnings when notices are enabled.
