Please note that the following will not work under Windows 2000 using Apache 2 and php 4.2.3:
exec("\"c:\\Program Files\\PKWARE\\PKZIPC\\pkzipc\" -add -attr=all -dir=relative -max
\"$outFile\" \"e:\\my folder\\*.*\"",$output,$error);
It looks like you have to put the command OR the parameters between quotes if you want to use long
file names but not both at the same time. For example, these work:
exec("c:\\Progra~1\\PKWARE\\PKZIPC\\pkzipc -add -attr=all -dir=relative -max
\"$outFile\" \"e:\\my folder\\*.*\"",$output,$error);
exec("\"c:\\Program Files\\PKWARE\\PKZIPC\\pkzipc\"",$output,$error);
I wonder if there's something I don't get or if it's a bug. Pasting the first attempt
right at the command prompt works like a charm. Anyway, hope it saves someone some precious time.
