To explain further: 'hello'==0 is TRUE because the types in this case are converted to integers, not to booleans. Any non-numeric string resolves to zero. To illustrate: (boolean) 'hello' == (boolean) 0 is FALSE. Also, '12' == 12 is TRUE. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+37030 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+37030&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+37030&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
