MS SQL escapes single ' characters with another ' character. So you may want to look at
the magic_quote_sybase configuration option that will automatically turn your ' characters into
''
If you use the default magic_quotes_gpc = on, then your ' characters will be escaped as \'
and your query will not work.
Note that if you use magic_quote_sybase, your " \ and NULs will have to be escaped manually.
Isn't MS SQL FUN!
