regarding function url_exists() from river att clacks dott org.
This does only work with plain reachable urls, as it only checks the return code "200".
But what about all the "3xx" codes, see also http://www.cknow.com/ckinfo/def_h/httpreturncodes.shtml.
Another fine thing would be to have a function returning the changed location so one can update it
e.g. in a database.
I think i will create one and post here.
