Stupid! Very, very stupid...
I do some image management on a php page - uploading, deleting images, etc...
In some cases session variables are lost. They are lost with IE only, but regardless of how session
management is configured and regardless of the web server and platform... tried IIS and Apache,
platforms : Win2K, winXP, freeBSD.
After spending hours lurking on different forums i found lots of solutions for my problem and none
of them worked :(
The actual problem was completely stupid - an image IMG tag with src attribute set to empty string.
In this case IE does not send the cookie to server... setting it to a default 1px.gif solved the
issue...
What the hell is the relation between an incorrect IMG tag and session cookies? Only M$ are able to
get such results, I'm sure...
