On my solaris9 server Post PHP config and make if Apache is already running, I can't use
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart. Fought with this and then tried
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop then start.
Now PHP is up... Hope this saves someone frustration.
