Just because you can change the behavior of PHP via the ini file doesn't mean you should. It
is a long and well-accepted tenet that globals are bad. ini file settings are essentially global
variables. Globals are sometimes needed, but if you *must* use globals, do it in your source code,
not the ini file, and try to keep it to a minimum.
No offense to JeDi at Zwelche dot de, but setting ini options in .htaccess is plain evil.
