Magic Quotes ....
UGH! I spent an hour trying to figure out why my variables were adding a backslash! I finally
narrowed it down to the URL and POST variables. Then I found out about Magic Quotes..
PHP is great. I'm not new with it and use it for almost every web-based project I've ever
written. but Magic Quotes should indeed be removed immediately; it hinders both beginners and
experts.
Lucky for me I found this section.
For all those who have had the same problem and found yourself here under similar terms .. take a
deep breath, relax, and simply add "stripslashes()" to your code (but don't forget to
use get_magic_quotes_gpc() to see if it's require, if you plan on making your code portable).
