Apache 2 & PHP 4.3.4 as Module - Installation Notes ................................................... // I wrote this "Installation Notes" because all the trouble I had trying to have my PHP pages running fine on Apache web server after a WinXP reinstallation. Hope this be useful to anyone. Initial problem description: Apache was running fine. When trying to get PHP to work reading a php file I recieved "error 400 bad request" on my browser. I've tryied switchig versions and make configs a lot of times. It didn't work, I couldn't have PHP working as CGI Script, like I had it before. Then I tryed PHP as a Module, and I get "Could not find php4apache2.dll". So, finally, this is the solution that worked for myself: 1. Install Apache 2. Config httpd.conf 2.1. DocumentRoot "D:/WWWROOT" 2.2. <Directory "D:/WWWROOT"> 2.3. DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.php 2.4. LoadModule php4_module "E:/Archivos de programa/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll" 2.5. AddType application/x-httpd-php .php 3. Install PHP 4. Config php.ini 4.1. doc_root = "D:\WWWROOT\" 4.2. extension_dir = "E:\Archivos de programa\PHP\" 5.
