I found that I had to construct the header string in this (or a similar) way in order to get bounces
back properly.
$mailheaders = "From: $fromEmail\n"."Reply-To: $fromEmail\n"."Return-Path:
$fromEmail\n"."Return-Receipt-To: $fromEmail\n";
