I probably am not the best person to answer this, but it looks like you should take out the quotes
around the table name product. For example:
mysql_query("DELETE FROM product where nome='$product_name'");
...as well, do not know if you meant spell the variable name as "nome" or if you really
want it to be "name" in the where clause, as such:
mysql_query("DELETE FROM product where name='$product_name'");
See if that works.
