Note Submitter: tychay@php.net ---- the previous function has a slight error... if ($file) returns $data which hasn't been set in the correct location--you need to set it outside the loop. This will throw a warning. Also, it's probably a good idea to use portable locking: see flock(). I am not sure if get_file_contents() supports portable locking because I'm too lazy to check the source. :) --terry
