Installation Notes for Oracle 9i on a Win XP Professional box and PHP... Had big issues just trying to do the connection and here is what worked for me... (Assuming your Oracle install is all good and PHP working as well) In php.ini file you need to find these 2 lines... ;extension = php_oci8.dll ;extension = php_oracle.dll and uncomment them (remove the semi-colons) Next I had to ensure that the "extension_dir" config parameter in the php.ini file points to the actual directory where these dll files reside (ie. c:\PHP\extensions) This did the trick.
